  Well, the GNU C library is currently not available for this platform.  Now,
of course that's only because so far nobody cared to port it, and indeed if
you have interest to see glibc on > *** this platform you could always join
the group of porters.  However if there is no volunteer it > *** might never
happen.  Hope that clears it up.

p.s. - Cygwin use newlib to provide its underlying C library.
