I can't speak to what you consider to be involved but the cygwin-apps is
open to anyone who wants to propose a package for inclusion in the
distribution. And, since we have so many maintainers, it can't be
too terrible.
Of course, our Microsoft masters may send a strong electrical charge
to our gonads (assuming we have gonads) if they are displeased by the
package so it's possible that we will all automatonically reject the
package as part of Microsoft's anti-Cygwin conspiracy.
Or, hey. Maybe I ought to just disconnect the wires. Why didn't I
think of that before?
