Looks like you've been nabbled by some http://cygwin.com/acronyms#3PP. Get rid of these files: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cygz.dll C:\WINDOWS\cygz.dll C:\WINDOWS\cygwin1.dll Just delete them, they're way old out-of-date versions and you have newer ones in your cygwin install already.
