I did what you suggested. Still it crashes :( It crashes when i click on the 'Select local package directory' screen.The dir where i've stored the release has not yet come into picture. Also, i could not find the setup.ini file ? is it a requirement for setup.exe to run ? Just for info, the locations are: setup.exe is in J:\cygwin\mirrors.kernel.org\sourceware\cygwin release is in J:\cygwin\mirrors.kernel.org\sourceware\cygwin\release J: is one of the FAT32 partitions on my USB HDD. I tried to run setup.exe from my PATA hdd,but no difference. Any suggestions ?
