I can't tell from the above if you fully appreciated that my tongue
was superglued to the inside of my cheek when I wrote what I did
but I have always considered it a goal that Cygwin should be seen
as an advertisement for a much better OS - Linux.
There are, however, plenty of extremely good reasons why people don't
want to reformat their hard drives and install Ubuntu. So, Cygwin
probably isn't going anywhere, Vista difficulties notwithstanding.
