René Berber ?????: > [snip] > To repeat that configuration enter cpan as a shell and then use "o conf init". Thank you very much, "o conf init" was the thing I needed:-) Also thanks to all the responders. Your posts were very useful as well. Now the installation process of Device: SerialPort advances further but hangs at the testing steps... It's really a question not for this topic anymore, and I'll ask it in the cpan list. Anyway as there are so many good people in the list I would highly appreciate if someone explains me what's going on. Ali. Here is some output of the installation process at the end of wich the program hangs. I had to use Crtl+C combination to leave the program. **** Running make test /usr/bin/perl.exe "-MExtUtils::Command::MM" "-e" "test_harness(0, 'blib/lib', 'b lib/arch')" t/*.t t/01timing....ok 1/7 # Failed test (t/01timing.t at line 33) t/01timing....ok 4/7# then: 7005609 now: 7007749 diff: 2140 # Looks like you failed 1 test of 7. t/01timing....dubious Test returned status 1 (wstat 256, 0x100) DIED.
