Automake is a tool for automatically generating `Makefile.in' files
compliant with the GNU Coding Standards. This package contains the
latest version of the automake system in the automake-1.8.x series,
automake-1.8.5.
This cygwin package, automake1.8, can be installed without conflict
alongside the existing automake1.10, automake1.9, automake1.7,
automake1.6, automake1.5, and automake1.4 cygwin packages.
automake-1.8 requires autoconf-2.52 or better, which is available in the
autoconf2.5 package, autoconf2.5-2.60-1.
See /usr/share/doc/automake1.8/NEWS for a list of the new features and
bugfixes in automake-1.8.
This package was built using the cygport framework. Testsuite results:

To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your
system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions.
