Hi People, Find does not seem able to search the /cygdrive/c directory. example: $ find /cygdrive/c -iname \*Telus\* -print find: .: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/AUTOEXEC.BAT: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/AVG7QT.DAT: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/boot.ini: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/Config.Msi: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/CONFIG.SYS: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/cygwin: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/cygwin.disk: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/Documents and Settings: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/hpfr3600.log: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/IO.SYS: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/MSDOS.SYS: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/NTDETECT.COM: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/ntldr: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/pagefile.sys: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/Program Files: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/RECYCLER: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/System Volume Information: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/Temp: No such file or directory find: /cygdrive/c/WINDOWS: No such file or directory $ Whereas the following does work; $ find /cygdrive/c/Temp -iname \*Telus\* -print /cygdrive/c/Temp/telus $ or: $ cd /cygdrive/c $ find . -iname \*Telus\* -print ./cygwin/home/jim/backup/maggie/Favorites/my account myTELUS.url ./cygwin/home/jim/telus ./Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/TELUS ./Documents and Settings/jim/Cookies/jim AT ads DOT mytelus[1].txt ... There was lots more I get the impression that /cygdrive/c is not a real directory. The version of find I was using is: $ find -version GNU find version 4.2.25 Features enabled: LEAF_OPTIMISATION $ Thanks in advance.
