Hi.
Thanks for the reply.
2 comments.
1 - If I add alias cls='cmd -c cls' to my .bashrc file(logout/login/cls), I get ...
RichardQ AT richardquadling ~$ clsMicrosoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600](C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
<24/02/2006 12:34:32 D:\cygwin\home\RichardQ>
I then have to type exit to get back to cygwin.
e.g.
RichardQ AT richardquadling ~$ clsMicrosoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600](C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
<24/02/2006 12:34:32 D:\cygwin\home\RichardQ>exit
RichardQ AT richardquadling ~$ clsMicrosoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600](C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
<24/02/2006 12:34:52 D:\cygwin\home\RichardQ>exit
RichardQ AT richardquadling ~$
In other words, this is not working for me.

2 - What do you mean by CYGWIN=notty? This looks like an environmentvariable. I've not got one set called CYGWIN. Should I?
