I have noted that many applications do not start when one clicks on the links in Start | Programs | Cygwin-X (on W2K SP4) This happens even if one has started XWin (startxwin.bat). For example, 'xeyes' starts (after startxwin.bat), but emacs does not! Then, why should one install those links in the Start | Programs menu (by setup.exe), if they (many of them) seem do not work ?
