What makes you think it doesn't work?  What are the problems you are
having after installation completes?

Heh, this seems to have worked...

This is harmless -- there was a bug in the older version that was fixed in
the snapshots.

This is also harmless -- it's an informational message.

Ok, this is just the download step -- what happened during the install
step?

Meaning the io_stream_cygfile errors in setup.log?

Umm, not quite the same results -- this setup version should put more
detailed error messages for io_stream_cygfile into the logs.  Does it?

Does "same results" mean that you got the "Download complete" message?
If so, did you actually try installing afterwards?
