Also, in case someone misread's Tan's implication in his response above,
'gcc' isn't in the "cygwin" package.  It's part of the "gcc-core" package.
But available "gcc-core" packages cover version 3.3.3 and 3.4.4, not 3.2, 
as Brian correctly points out.
