For steps 1-3 I use a copy of the "Cygwin Bash Shell" start menu
shortcut with the target changed to
"C:\cygwin\usr\X11R6\bin\startxwin.bat". You could also make your own
customized copy of that batch file. The remaining steps ought to work
as planned.
