Subject: snap 20050806: seems not working when stripped
Message-ID: <Pine.OSF.4.21.0508072335140.18081-100000@ax0rm1.roma1.infn.it>

After installing the stripped version of the snap 20050806, is not
possible to open any shell which uses cygwin1.dll: there is a popup window
of Windows with a message like this:

" DLL... image damneged.. cygwin1.dll is not a valid image..."

I have created a stripped version of the snap unpacking it in
/tmp/cygwin-snap/, then:

   strip -s -p *.exe in /tmp/cygwin-snap/usr/sbin
   strip -s -p *.exe *.dll in /tmp/cygwin-snap/usr/bin
   strip -d -p *.o *.a in /tmp/cygwin-snap/usr/lib

After this I have repacked as cygwin-inst...-stripped.tar.bz2 and
installed it as a snap.

I have applied this procedure to the snapshots of June and July (until
20050728) and all of them have worked fine.

Thanks

   angelo.
