Dave,
I'm unfortunately not set up to do this kind of debugging ATM (heavy use
of Cygwin for real work, and no other available machine, so can't play
with heap_chunk_in_mb). That's why I appreciate your doing this. If you
are interested in pursuing this later, it would be nice to find out how
this behavior relates to the value of heap_chunk_in_mb.
