It seems like you have an outdated libcygwin.a. Weird: $ ll /usr/lib/libcygwin.a /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/lib/libcygwin.a -rwxrwxrwx 1 Administrators Domain Users 3704450 Feb 24 07:29 /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/lib/libcygwin.a* -rwxrwxrwx 1 eblake Users 956656 Jul 2 18:30 /usr/lib/libcygwin.a* I don't recall ever touching /usr/i686-pc-cygwin/lib. Maybe when I played with installing a build from CVS? Is that directory normally present, or should I just nuke it? But gcc -v revealed that it does indeed do -L/usr/i6866-pc-cygwin/lib before -L/usr/lib. -- Eric Blake -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
