Will it fix also /etc/profile? <==== ============================== As I wrote: <http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin-xfree/2005-05/msg00140.html> the problem of chmod 1777 /tmp is present also for the user (NOT-ADMIN.) that uses only the standard bash shell, i.e. the user that does not use X (XWin etc.).
