$ cat exampleCronFile 
#*     *   *   *    *  command to be executed

#|     |   |   |    +----- day of week (1 - 7) (monday = 1)
#|     |   |   +------- month (1 - 12)
#|     |   +--------- day of month (1 - 31)

#+------------- min (0 - 59)

05    15   5   2    *  /path/to/executable >/path/to/logfile



will execute the executable at 3:15 PM on the 5th of the second month
and it doesn't care which day of the week that is.
