Subject: | IPv6-enabled cygwin packages repository |
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 I've just noticed that the good Junya Kato at win6.jp/Cygwin as put online a setup.exe-compatible stricture to install two IPv6 enabled packages: cygwin and openssh. It can be found here: http://cygwin.win6.jp/cygwin-ipv6/ I will test them in the very near future. Has anyone else noticed that? And tested them? Any comments? One little concern I have is that they are called exactly like their IPv4 counterpart, this makes them undistinguishable from a setup.exe that is using BOTH a normal mirror and this website. But of course, using only of the two, this allows to "upgrade" ona package with the other directly. But both things could maybe be obtained at one, using a different "version". I was always very interested in IPv6 and since I (finally) got a /48 for my house network (well I guess it will serve my familiy's needs for the upcoming millenia, address-wise), so I'd really like to have some IPv6 cygwni packages, even if possibly unofficial/unstable/don-try-this-at-home. Another interesting question is of coursE: does a package compile versus the IPv6-enabled Cygwin version works against a "normal" one? I guess not. I will test and report.
