I refer you to http://www.microsoft.com/enable/products/keyboard/keyboardresults.asp?Product=2 which clearly shows SHIFT+INSERT (search for that) as a standard way to paste (as well as CTRL+V). That MS-DOS may have also supported that is irrelevant really. Interestingly though MS lists keyboard short cuts for the various flavors of Windows - 98, 2000, XP, 2003. Some list SHIFT+INSERT as paste right along side of CTRL+V (98, 2000), some don't list it at all (XP) and 2003 lists them separately. In practice however CTRL+V == SHIFT-INSERT. YMMV. And, most importantly to the OP, SHIFT-INSERT works with rxvt. -- If bankers can count, how come they have eight windows and only four tellers? -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
