Subject: gv and ghostscript-x11 broken out of the box
Date: Fri, 10 Sep 2004 11:42:20 -0700
MIME-Version: 1.0

Hi,

I'm using gv to view postscript files, but it is broken following a clean install. It works after some hand
configuration, but that shouldn't be necessary.

First off, the installation of ghostscript-x11 should probably uninstall ghostscript, otherwise the version of gs picked
up by gv will probably be /usr/bin/gs instead of /usr/bin/X11R6/gs. In the alternative, gv configuration should specify
the full path to ghostscript-x11 out of the box.

Secondly, ghostscript-x11 requires installation of XFree86-lib-compat in order to have liblCE.dll available. This
should be enforced in setup.exe. It isn't, so ghostscript-x11 is broken after a clean install.
