The following packages have been added to the Cygwin distribution:

*** glib-1.2.10-1
*** glib-devel-1.2.10-1

GLib is a library which includes support routines for C such as
lists, trees, hashes, memory allocation, and many other things.

NOTE TO CYGNOME USERS: Installing this glib package will replace the
CyGnome package (if both are installed with setup.exe).  As this package
was built with libtool, the dlls are versioned (i.e. cygglib-1-2-0.dll),
and will not work as-is with anything built against the CyGnome
packages.  The solution is either to manually reinstall the CyGnome
runtime packages into /opt/gnome, rebuild against this package, or
possibly, just copy/hardlink the dlls to unversioned names (i.e. ln
cygglib-1-2-0.dll cygglib.dll).
