I recently upgraded my Cygwin, using setup.exe, and everything works
nicely ... except setup! When I do <Install|Download> from Internet, I
get the error dialog
> Error
> Can't get list of download sites.
> Make sure your network settings are correct and try again.
However all my other networking is OK, e.g. I can browse to
http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/mirrors.lst
without difficulty. When I do this with Connection Type=Direct
Connection (my {usual, correct} setting), I get
2004/08/12 23:13:36 Starting cygwin install, version 2.427
2004/08/12 23:13:36 Current Directory: d:\download\Cygwin

stop. McAfee may not be installed, or we don't have access.

getUrlToStream http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/mirrors.lst
getUrlToStream failed!
get_url_to_membuf failed!
in /d/download/Cygwin/setup.log.full. I noted
http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2004-02/msg01064.html
> Make sure you didn't install and run any firewall software.
but my firewall software (Zone Labs) is not running, and ...
> Also, try the "Use IE5 Settings" connection mode in setup.
... when I try Connection Type=Use IE5 Settings, I get
2004/08/12 23:18:46 net: IE5
get_url_to_membuf http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/mirrors.lst
getUrlToStream http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/mirrors.lst
getUrlToStream failed!
get_url_to_membuf failed!
How to make them succeed? Apologies if this is a FAQ, but I haven't
found anything useful via searching

Please reply to me (as well as the list) if possible, feel free to
forward or question, and TIA.
