Is there any command I could use to "ping" the pcmcia card (a Sierra Wireless 750 GPRS modem) for response, like AT commands, in case there is more than one port to try? The question doesn't really make any sense. Cygwin is not a kernel, it does not have any hardware drivers. Cygwin doesn't know anything about your hardware, it uses whatever Windows drivers are present.
