Angeline,

We'll actually need to get some specifics if we're going to 
understand your problem better.  Please run through the 
installation again and note _exactly_ the messages you get
and the steps you take subsequently.  Please send this 
information to the list, along with /var/log/setup.log.full
and the output of 'cygcheck -s -r -v' (if possible).  Please
*attach* the above files.  Do not append them to your message.
