I have also mentioned previously that since 1.5.7 hitting ^C during make (building cygwin) causes the window to freeze. It's not quite like that. Just after hitting ^C, ps shows 34093423 34132739 34093423 4294834213 0 530 23:07:10 /c/PROGRAM FILES/CYGWIN/BIN/BASH 239631 34093423 239631 4260836905 0 530 23:07:34 /c/PROGRAM FILES/CYGWIN/BIN/MAKE 116091 239631 239631 4260831633 0 530 23:07:49 /c/PROGRAM FILES/CYGWIN/BIN/SH 34118019 116091 239631 4294843745 0 530 23:07:49 <defunct> But after about 1 minute, and every minute thereafter, the defunct process goes away and its parent becomes defunct. So after 2 minutes 34093423 34132739 34093423 4294834213 0 530 23:07:10 /c/PROGRAM FILES/CYGWIN/BIN/BASH 239631 34093423 239631 4260836905 0 530 23:07:34 <defunct> Pierre -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
