I've just installed the latest cygwin, in part to get the latest version gnu compiler. Compling code that relies on C++ standard libraries, e.g. #include <string>, fail because the include files are not found in the compiler's default include path. My installation was to the default directory, c:/cygwin. I'm going to hand correct my installation. Hopefully someone can correct this in a future release.
