I did read and follow http://cygwin.com/cvs.html and then I've been "following"(ironic!) the "instructions" at "How do I rebuild the tools on my NT box?" http://cygwin.com/faq/faq_4.html#SEC104 and got fed up with the non-match and the following guesswork. Just a thought: WHY is it so hard to make a debug/unstripped version of the current cygwin1.dll available for download? I'll leave this for a day or two now.
