Subject: Cursor is frozen in Vim and Emacs
Date: Mon, 4 Aug 2003 13:08:51 +1200
MIME-Version: 1.0

Hello,

I've just installed Cygwin on my Dell PC at work, which has Windows 2000 on
it.

The bash shell works totally fine, typing and arrowing around work as
expected.
However, if I call up either Vim or Emacs, the cursor is frozen in the top
left. It is impossible to move around, and if you type any characters, the
cursor stays in the same place and types over itself. If I exit the program
and return to the shell, typing and the cursor keys return to working
perfectly again.

I've checked Google and specifically both the Cygwin mailing lists and FAQ,
but haven't found anything to give me any clues - apologies if I have
overlooked something obvious.

Any ideas or assistance greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Stuart.

PS: In case it's any use, the setup.exe I am using is version 2.249.2.5, Vim
is 6.2-1 and Emacs is 21.2-12
