Right, you didn't mention that you got error's and when I tried the URL I got a
connection timeout..
Anyway, building from the source tarballs is pretty hairy, I've never built from
a release tarball (only from CVS) so I can't help you, but the mailing list
archives can, as this has been discussed before.

Well you'll need to search the archives, and find the hints, or wait for someone
here who's built from a release tarball to give you some helpful instructions.
