Subject: libtool / exported symbols problem - undesired re-exporting of getopt from libcygwin.a

X-Cam-SpamDetails:

Does anyone have a good way of preventing used functions from the static
portion of libcygwin.a being re-exported when they are used in a DLL?

I kludged a solution by adding --exclude-symbols=getopt,getopt_long to
LDFLAGS, but I was wondering if anyone had any better, more general
solutions.

Max.
