Chuck,

I just answered your question on where to find the snapshots, but I don't
think that was the correct advice (sorry, Larry).  Anything that was in
the "latest snapshot" last July is bound to be in the current Cygwin DLL
(unless it was retracted later, but I doubt it)...  I still say you should
fix your /etc/passwd (and /etc/group) before trying other things.
