hi all,
thanks for all the help. I have still not been able to start my cron.
this is what I got from the event log
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( cron ) cannot be found. The
local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message
DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following
information is part of the event: cron : PID 876 : `cron' service stopped.
I have not understood anything from this. If anyone understands what this
means than please reply.
else I guess I have to leave my cron as it is.
Thanks
Sanjay

I'm referring to the problem with getting
cron to work. My suggestions are a shot
in the dark. People have been known to
fix mysterious problems by carefully
reinstalling the software.
I agree that Cygwin should not care
which drive it is installed on, all other
things being equal. That's why I listed
it last.
