Are you using the latest cygipc, 1.13-2?  If not, then this is most
likely the cause of your problem.  Otherwise, you may have been bitten
by the same XP Pro problem that I'm currently trying to track down:

If this is a possibility, then please try the test program, cit.exe, in
the following post:
