To Whom It May Concern,

There was a short piece on All Things Considered (NPR) today about
Internet scams.

Regulators Go After Online Fraud

NPR's Jack Speer reports federal and state regulators are going after
fraud on the internet. The Federal Trade Commission is joining state
and local law enforcement agencies to target online auction scams. As
internet deal-making has grown at sites like eBay, so have the number
of complaints. Online auction scams are the most common type of
Internet-based fraud, according to the FTC. eBay says only one in
10,000 transactions on its site are fraudulent.

My attention was divided, but I think they mentioned that the FTC is
seeking complaints from those that have been taken in. What really
caught my ear was the part about the laptop that never made it to the
purchaser despite the money having been transferred to the scamster.
