You forgot to clean up your mount points from your old
CD installation before installing the net release. At
this point, you're probably stuck with editing the
registry unless you can find "mount.exe" and run it
from a console window where you found it. If you need
to go the registry route, delete the "Software/Cygnus Solutions"
subtree in HKLM and HKCU hives. Oh, and don't get used to
manipulating mount points in the registry. We don't want
to hear any crying or questions about where they went when
the change is rolled out that stores them in a file instead.

After you clean out the old mount table, remove anything in
the directories that they pointed to and reinstall the net
installation. You should be fine then.

Hi,

I installed: cygwin, base-files and binutils using
"Install From Internet" option.
After download, when I browsed thru C:\cygwin, (using
Windows) I could'nt find the exe's..

The downloaded tar.bz2 files were in C:\cyg_cache..

What could be the problem ?

Thanx,
Deepa
