Oops!  It's a little late so I'm not as careful with trimming my output
as I should be.  Ignore the first "ls" above.  The only file of interest
in this directory is the one I'm changing, DEBUG.LOG.  I've trimmed the
rest of the filesout of all the subsequent "ls -l" invocations.  Sorry
if this causes any confusion.
