Jurgen,

I use a Samba mount every day.  Try using forward slashes, i.e.,

mount //beb0628/buildpc /mnt/tst

Depending on whether the mount point exists, you might also need to
specify the -f flag.

Are you trying to do a system mount, or a user one?  If system, does the
user have enough privileges (i.e., permission to write to HKLM)?

What is the value of your CYGWIN variable (I'm shooting in the dark here)?
