Hi, I'm trying to put on a tape a 16 GB file with Cygwin tar on W2K. A tar -cvf gives the hand after 2 seconds, and when I try to read the tape, tar -tvf produces the following error: tar: Archive value -55607296 is out of off_t range 0..2147483647 Is there a file size limitation with tar usage ? The problem is the same from disk to tape and from disk to disk. I've seen few questions about tar limitations in the Cygwin mailing list, but no answer. Can you help me?
