I had some troubles a year or two back with the Octave installer, so I went to "The Hard Way" installation procedure outlined in the attached link. I have had no problems with this, and Octave works fine through Cygwin. http://web.hhs.se/personal/Psoderlind/Software/Software.htm Note I did say use the instructions under "The Hard Way". Not "The Easy Way".
