New cygwin chkconfig-1.2.24h-1 package available for download. Chkconfig provides a simple command line tool for maintaining the /etc/rc[0-6].d directory hierarchy by relieving system administrators of the task of directly manipulating the numerous symbolic links in those directories. It can control xinetd configuration also. Port Notes: The package requires cygwin-1.3.15 or newer to run. To install the package, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions. You'll find chkconfig listed in the "System" category. If you have questions or comments, please send them to the Cygwin mailing list at: cygwin AT cygwin DOT com . I would appreciate it if you would use this mailing list rather than emailing me directly.
