I was going to send this message about the latest cvs, but I just verified it applies as well to 1.3.18 WinME, latest everything, CYGWIN undefined When I ssh localhost and use "less" or "mutt", the final "q" appears before the next shell prompt. This is 100% reproducible with rxvt, I have also seen it with cygwin.bat, but rarely. ~: ssh localhost <snip> You are successfully logged in to this server!!! ~: less .bash_profile q~: less .bash_profile q~: ^ ^ note "q" before the prompt.
