Hi, It seems that when I delete a locked file under cygwin, it removes the file when the locking process unlocks it. Is there anyway to have it return an error instead of having it scheduled for deletetion. Thanks!! Kevin --- PS. This 'feature' can be really confusing. I was gzipping locked webserver logs and they were disappearing when the webserver rolledover the log. It took me a while to figure out what was really happening. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
