I have a full install (done via the setup installer) of cygwin, done
yesterday (October 24, 2002), on my Win2k machine at work. I have
installed, additionally, the KDE 2 and Windowmaker packages.
Whenever I, or any program/script for that matter, try executing a chmod
command (chown I believe as well), it complains about invalid arguments -
programs are dying trying to make various ~/.* directories and files because
of this, as well as /tmp/* that the program expects to be able to make as a
given UID.
All my drives are mounted in binmode.
How do I correct this?
dcopserver fails it's self test too, but that's another list...
I am working with NTFS partitions - cygwin lives on my f: drive.
Additionally, I've got administrator access to my box.
