Hi.=0D
=0D
Let me get this straight.=0D
=0D
1) Whoever writes the program files using whatever editor in windows.=0D
2) Now before we can use those program files it must=0D
first be converted using dos2unix?=0D
3) Now what will be the next step??=0D
Before we use windows text files we have to convert them like we did 10=0D
years ago, when we used awk in a *nix environment?=0D
4) I fail to see this point. Why should the program files be=0D
in *nix format - will this eventually apply to other=0D
source files like "C" as well?=0D
5) Now we have to physically QA each source program file=0D
to make sure its in *nix format on winbloze machines!=0D
6) Why change the concept of using M$ dos terminated files=0D
as is?=0D
=0D
Please bear with me - I do NOT like M$. =0D
But I do not understand this change in the behaviour of awk.=0D
=0D
I missing something? =0D
=0D
TX=0D
=0D
Pwp=0D
ps. I think the previous reply went to the wrong place
