I want to add a little bit more of info on starting Apache as a service
using cygrunsrv (besides specifying the "-k" option):

Either cygwin has to be installed "for all users", or the full install path
(i.e., /cygdrive/c/usr/sbin/httpd.exe) has to be specified to cygrunsrv.

Also, in the httpd.conf file, the full path has to be used (i.e.,
/cygdrive/c/usr i.s.o. /usr).

I modified the registry to move the default mounts (/, /usr/bin and
/usr/lib) from HKEY_USERS\<my own user>\.... to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\.... to
get Apache working as a service on my configuration (I installed cygwin
initially "just for me").

Tim
