Subject: shutdown.exe options
X-MailScanner: Found to be clean

This is a request to the maintainer to add an option for
a simple halt rather than just powerdown if available.
Specifically EWX_SHUTDOWN in addition to EWX_POWEROFF

The reason is Vmware workstation 3.1 running a win2000 guest
will reboot on any attempt to power down the system, EWX_POWEROFF,
but will actually stop and disable the cpu on EWX_SHUTDOWN.

Then by using an undocumented option in the vmware configuration file:
	gui.exitOnCLIHLT = "TRUE"
and the documented option "exit at power off"
	vmware -x
one can gracefully exit under automation control, say a forced
shutdown due to imminent power failure, after sending the
win2000 OS a signal.

It's easy enough for me to modify the source, but it would be
really nice if it was in the distribution.

All the good option letters have been used.
Perhaps d for disable cpu.

I could supply a diff.

Thanks in advance.
