Hi Max,

I have tried to delete the extra cygwin1.dll from the
system, still it is shows the same problem, C compiler
unable to create binaries.

I am attaching the config.log file below

This file contains any messages produced by compilers
while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes
a mistake.

configure:566: checking for a BSD compatible install
configure:622: checking whether build environment is
sane
configure:679: checking whether make sets ${MAKE}
configure:725: checking for working aclocal
configure:738: checking for working autoconf
configure:751: checking for working automake
configure:764: checking for working autoheader
configure:777: checking for working makeinfo
configure:858: checking for gcc
configure:971: checking whether the C compiler (gcc )
works
configure:987: gcc -o conftest    conftest.c  1>&5
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-cygwin/2.95.3-5/../../../../i686-pc-cygwin/bin/ld:
cannot find -luser32
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
configure: failed program was:

#line 982 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"

main(){return(0);}

can any help me out with this.
