OK. You're the expert. So I suppose, that the other shells are not as close
Cygwinified as bash ...

Setup is 2.249.2.5
Maybe this gives you more information:
$ mkpasswd -d -u jse
jse:unused_by_nt/2000/xp:11508:10513:Schaible,
Jörg,U-GFT\jse,S-1-5-21-507921405-764733703-1708537768-1508:/home/jse:/bin/b
ash
$ mkgroup -d | grep 10513

I modified my entry in /etc/passwd to
jse:unused_by_nt/2000/xp:11508:544:Schaible,
Jörg,U-GFT\jse,S-1-5-21-507921405-764733703-1708537768-1508:/home/jse:/bin/b
ash
After Setup find.exe has following entries:
$ ls -ln /bin/find.exe
-rwx------ 1 544 513 78848 20. May 05:39 /bin/find.exe
and bash fails again (although I am member of the local admin's group).
