Subject: save bash contents with vi?
Date: Tue, 2 Jul 2002 11:49:50 -0600
MIME-Version: 1.0

Hi All,

I tried to search the lists archives, but my query keeps timing out, so
please excuse me if this is a repeat question.

Whenever I edit a file using vi and then return back to the prompt, my
command screen is cleared. I know this is not the case with my linux
machine at home. Can this be avoided?

TIA,
Kevin
